About the Role
We are seeking a Script Editor with demonstrated expertise and skill to join our writers' board for an upcoming feature film project. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of screenwriting and be able to critically review scripts to identify weaknesses and enhance the screenplay. Responsibilities include analyzing the structure, character development, dialogue, and overall flow of the script, and collaborating with writers to ensure the script aligns with the creative vision and meets high standards.
Responsibilities:
Review and edit scripts for structure, character development, dialogue, and overall flow
Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to writers
Collaborate with the creative team to ensure that the script aligns with the project's vision
Analyze scripts to identify strengths and weaknesses
Work with screenwriters to achieve their creative vision
Collaborate with the production team to ensure that scripts are feasible and meet project needs
Edit and proofread scripts to ensure they meet industry standards.
Requirements
Strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to analyze and critique scripts
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proven content writing or copywriting experience and a portfolio of published articles
Working knowledge of content management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace applications
Strong script analysis and creative thinking skills, as well as teamwork and adaptability
